 I am a stay at home mom with four awesome kids that absolutely fascinate me. I have a wonderful husband who is my best friend. A day just isn't right without him in it.
There isn't anything I won't try. And there isn't enough time for all the projects on my list. Today is my favorite day and as Abe Lincoln said, "It isn't the years in your life that count, its the life in your years". I love that! |
My step son who recently turned 18 tried to kill himself 2 weeks ago. He works at a bar. He lives with a room mate. He left our house when he was 16. My husband and I have 4 other child 8 – 1. We were coming back from getting groceries and getting an ice [...] It has truly been a busy spring! We went from a barren back yard composed of nothing but sand and some persistent weeds to about 30 12 inch raised beds. We hauled 33 yards of soil with a wheel barrow. It was quite a sight when all the beds were filled And even more amazing when those [...] A friend of mine had a mammogram and it didn’t turn out to be the routine experience that she had expected. She had to go back in and have another done. She had a biopsy today. Now we wait. I feel scared and sad and worried. But I also [...]
I can remember being little. I remember pretending. I remember forts and trees and roots that made up little rooms of the fairy houses. Acorns were bowls, leaves were little mats and furniture was made from little twigs and yarn I took from my mom. It was a magical land. I couldn’t wait to [...] The kids have so much fun making their own pizzas on Friday nights. We usually have dough in the fridge for the week and use the last of it on Friday for our pizza dough. We make our own sauce from the Roma’s we canned from last years CSA adventure. Then an hour or so before [...] Woo Hoo! We had pancakes this morning on our new griddle. Sure beats the frying pan! Usually the hubby is crabby by the time they’re done cause it took so long to make ‘em that he and everyone else [...] January We painted Daniels bedroom, celebrated our 9th anniversary and waited for spring. February We all stayed at The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club. Mike had a Pharmacy class he was taking so the rest of us tagged along and hung out in Madison for a couple of days.
